I'm a twenty-something Northern Minnesotan who recently graduated from Northland College with a Humanity and Nature Studies and Sustainable Community Development degree along with a permaculture design certificate.

I discovered permaculture my freshman year of college when the school I attended offered permaculture as a May intensive. Throughout my studies of the human/nature relationship, I became increasingly more intrigued with the permaculture practice. Last spring I spent 3 months in the Middle East researching and studying peace and sustainability and saw the success and promise of permaculture practice in a region of such sustainable need.

From recognizing the value and life enhancing education of these past experiences I have presently joined a friend in helping start a non-profit organization that leads interns through a hands-on experience with international sustainability projects. Just in the wee stages of development, we hope to launch a month long pilot program in the Middle East this summer 2012 and hope this website will help in the networking of such projects in the future!
