Jessica grew up on a working grassfed cattle ranch in Happy Canyon. She earned her degree in Land & Water Conservation Policy from the University of California, Berkeley in 2010. She presently works at a wild horse sanctuary on California's Central Coast, managing sustainability projects such as water catchment, manure composting, and solar energy, in consultation with Quail Springs and Orella Stewardship Institute.
