I'm Ron and I live in California's southern Central Valley. My wife and I own a small business raising and processing meat chickens for local customers. We began with Pastured Poultry and transitioned into what we call Orcharding as our main husbandry practice. We use Backyard Orchard Culture practices for designing and maintaining small orchards and utilize broiler chickens to prep fertilize and maintain deeply mulched orchard areas. We also teach classes throughout the year covering the husbandry and harvest of broiler chickens in the small scale for home growers. In the spring of 2023 we will begin teaching backyard orchard design and install with emphasis on food forest assemblies and small animal husbandry within the systems.
