Originally from the UK, I have lived in Louisiana since 1982. Graduated High School for Archbishop Shaw in 1990. I went on to work for Jefferson Parish in various and sundry positions to finally end up as a Drainage Pump Station Operator.
I've always thought the world was "wrong", but it wasn't until I encountered Permaculture that I could put this theory in to words. I discovered Permaculture while researching vegetable gardening and it made sense. I have since(and in order) became a Louisiana Master Gardener, Certified Square Foot Gardening Instructor, Certified Permaculture Designer and a Louisiana Master Naturalist. I don't plan to stop my education.
Outside of slowly working on a crazy pre-permaculture garden, I have begun to Permaculturalize it without ripping everything up.
I currently do most of my volunteer work as a Master Gardener and as a Master Naturalist. I believe that doing these two programs will allow me to fully understand my corner of the world, and I get to help people out while I'm at it. After I retire(in 2021), I will move further North, probably to an acreage in Northern Mississippi or thereabouts and create a Permaculture property from scratch.
