About Jeannine Hunter

Hello, I'm Jeannine, a passionate advocate for sustainable living and environmental education. Originally from South Africa, I graduated from Rhodes University with a BSc in Botany and Zoology, and later completed my BSc Honours in Botany. In 2017 I completed my PDC at Hope Farms in East London, South Africa under the guidance of Belinda Ross.

Currently, I find myself in Hanoi, Vietnam, where I work as a Montessori kindergarten guide, combining my love for early childhood development with my commitment to fostering a connection with nature.

Throughout my journey, I've nurtured a deep interest in permaculture and sustainable practices. To further my knowledge and skills, I eagerly pursued various courses at the Sustainability Institute in Stellenbosch, South Africa. These courses covered a wide range of topics, including food security, global agriculture, biodiversity, and resource management.

My passion extends beyond permaculture alone. I'm also deeply invested in community development, agroforestry, city gardening, and other related areas. I firmly believe that education and community engagement are powerful tools for creating positive change. By inspiring others to embrace sustainable living practices, I aim to make a meaningful impact on both local communities and the environment.
