Owner/Operator of Landscaping Company ‘Enchant Landscapes’ 1991 to current

Founded and built Enchant Landscapes into an established and active design and installations operation.

Learned the skills to design and install concrete block walls, paver patios, underground irrigation systems, ponds, etc.
Keep company books, including payroll, accounts payable and year end work
Farm Manager of Bridge Creek Estate Cattle Ranch 1988 to 1991

Managed the farming operations for a large (20,000 acre) cattle ranch
Skills included the cultivation of both pasture and hay lands using a variety of equipment
The operations were based on chemical free, environment friendly techniques
Cattle management, fencing, soil science, and alternative soil management practices were part of the job
Work included supervision and training of summer student help
Dairy and Farm Manager for 100 Mile Lodge Holdings 1982 to 1991

Ran the dairy operation for 100 Mile Lodge Holdings, an intentional community of 120 people
Operations included a milk cow herd of 20 with approximately 6 to 8 cows in production, automatic inline milk parlor,
Artificial insemination, pasture management, nutrition (chemical free) and veterinary skills
Egg production (300 lay hens) and dairy goat milk were also part of the production

Managed all aspects of a commercial size, 3 acre market garden using organic methods
Seed ordering, cultivation, soil, weed, and plant health management, were part of the job
Included was a greenhouse operation and a 10 acre apple orchard
A variety of growing practices were researched and implemented, including Bio-dynamics, permaculture, and integrated pest management techniques
