Shamaila is an education professional with a keen interest in alternative models and philosophies of learning. She has been teaching science and sustainability for nearly ten years to young people in inner city London. She is a founding trustee for two charitable organisations and has been involved in the recent establishment of a Montessori-inspired Pre-school in London.
‘Walking lightly upon the Earth’ has always resonated deeply with her spirit and it is through her spiritual guide & teacher she first heard of permaculture. Since then Shamaila has gone on to complete her PDC with Geoff Lawton in Australia, visit fledgling permaculture sites in Malaysia and return to inspire and ‘infect others with the permaculture bug’ in schools and community groups in urban England!
Shamaila has recently set up Tuba Seed Permaculture, an educational permaculture consultancy aiming to unearth the consciousness & awareness of self, society and spirit she believes is inherently present within all people and essential for the success of the permaculture vision.
