I'm a writer, instructor, poet, and farmer currently living in California. I've lived on small farms in semi-rural environments (Bainbridge Island and Enumclaw, WA) and am now working a family property in the historic district of town.
I love permaculture because it just makes sense to work with nature and have her do the heavy lifting so that you can spend your energy on helping the earth heal, people learn and prosper, and participate in the grand dance of life.
I'm currently working on transforming a 1/4 acre lawn into a food forest. We now have 29 fruit trees and a burgeoning perennial population inhabiting a deeply sheet-mulched, swaled landscape.
