I am currently near completion of Bachelor of Economics and Science (double major in Economic Analysis and Physics) from the University of Tasmania. As of December 2011 I've been a core member of the Post Growth Institute (postgrowth.org). In the past I've worked with the Australian Youth Climate Coalition, OzGREEN, The Oaktree Foundation and several other environmental/social justice organizations. Most recent work was as a student teacher for first year physics students at the University of Tasmania.
I have been brought to Permaculture through a deep questioning of current global challenges and proposed solutions. In the face of energy descent, I believe that we can only avoid collapse by generating abundance during the transition, and we can only generate true abundance through permaculture.
On a more personal note, I enjoy and believe I have strengths in communication, the synthesis of information, and problem solving. I see permaculture design, and hopefully teaching to be a way to bring together these interests now and into the future.
