My goals with respect to permaculture include educating local and regional governments and their planning boards and commissions, food and agriculture policy councils, extension services, legislators, etc. about permaculture design principles. In order for permaculture to gain traction on a large scale, those who regulate land and water use need to understand how the ecologically-based design principles that underlie sustainable food, fiber and renewable energy production can help to evolve local communities into healthier and happier places to live.
I welcome collaborative partnerships with those in government, the NGO sector and business who share my interest in integrating permaculture design principles into good governance of land, water and biodiversity locally and worldwide. My permaculture design consulting focus at this time is on policy, planning, design, management and legislative review for pollinator protection programs and campaigns, local and regional food system research and development initiatives, and food supply chain risk assessments.
