I grew up in the varies climatic swings of Minnesota U.S. Raised on a rural parcel of land a short distance from the suburban and urban areas surrounding Minneapolis, I was exposed to a range of lifestyles based both on and off the Land. As a youth I was blessed with time in the garden, eating freshly picked tomatoes and gathering raspberries for the mornings cereal.
After graduating from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Landscape Architecture, I traveled to California and begin learning of alternative systems and ultimately feel in deep admiration for Permaculture. With this new found interest I traveled to many tropical locations, (Hawaii, Costa Rica and Mexico) practicing the varies forms of sustainable living.
Recently, I've been teaching farmers P.D.C courses in Kenya and Haiti through Mindful Generations, a non-profit based out of MN. I am currently living in Minneapolis where I am a designer and practitioner of our mutual interest.
