(projects i'm involved in)
I became interested in permaculture after becoming increasingly concerned that our current political constructs seem to lack the resolve or vision required to get us through the climate, energy, population and food challenges we will face in this century.
I completed my PDC in Dec 2012 and hope to complete the Northern School of Permaculture diploma apprenticeship in the coming months/years. I have been very actively involved with Whalley Forest Garden for around a year now, and am also involved with an allotment share. I am hoping to begin work on a garden share this year and have a produce sharing agreement with a local elderly lady who is providing the growing space. I would like to be further involved in the transition from the fossil fuel/fiat currrency nightmare, and am very interested in anything that helps people empower themselves to solve their own issues with food, shelter and livelihood by co-operating locally and thus 'bypassing' government where it proves to be ineffective.
