Permaculture has been a passion of mine since 2001 where I began my journey as a organic gardener and permie enthusiast. I was mentored by many awesome elders who taught me when I was with EYA (environmental Youth Alliance). Before that I had experience as a lay gardener, landscaper, and orchard hand/fruit picker. My paternal side are farmers in Ghana and my maternal side raised me to be a wildcrafter, and outdoorswoman in British Columbia. After EYA i was involved in a handful of urban projects. After I met my husband we moved to the Central Kootenays where we ran a small hobby farm that had mainly Dwarf Nigerian Goats and a medium sized rabbitry. After My sons birth I decided to complete my PDC with my longtime hero Geoff Lawton. I now teach children natural sciences grounded in permaculture and practice as a designer in the Slocan Valley and area.
