I found a passion for agricultural sustainability from reading Permaculture books as a teen. I was inspired to major in Sustainable Ag/Food Systems at UC Davis. Since graduation I’ve started my own organic garden, while working as a Agricultural Inspector. Permaculture has helped tie together the many agricultural studies and disciplines I’ve encountered. Papyrus Garden

This design represents duality and attempts to emulate the way that mountains, lakes, and flatlands interact. Watermelons and stevia climb the mound’s 1 m tall circular trellis, occupying the vertical space while the fishpond occupies the belowground.
