I am a full time IT manager with a micro-scale propagation nursery on the side.

My wife and I bought 22 acres near Columbia, TN in late 2006 to have a space for our horses. The horses left several years ago but we are still here. Most of the farm is tired pasture, but I have started propagating landscape plants for resale on a very small scale - mostly retail at the farm.

I've was looking to improve the productivity of the farm without buying into traditional ag methods when I discovered permaculture. I have a few small scale experiments in my nursery that are going well. Progress is slow due to my full-time job.

I talk permaculture about ideas to customers when I can. I have joined the local Master Gardeners group - a few members are open to discussing alternative methods.
