Tricycle Acres is our new baby permaculture smallholding! Our family has up and moved from the big Urban city of Calgary, Alberta, out to a little slice of mountain side heaven in the stunning Slocan Valley of BC. We are still very much in observation mode, but we are working towards an off grid homestead farm with teaching facilities, creative spaces, systems and sustainable accommodations.
I am passionate about green building methods, and we are enjoying playing with all sorts of waste diverted building materials.
My pre permaculture experience includes running two successful businesses (a retail store and a large natural food facility), graphic design, marketing, and business coaching. Along with being a sustainable food advocate, and passionate environmentalist with a whack of volunteering under my belt.
I am a great ideas persons and I love working with business owners and project managers to find creative and sustainable solutions, to everyday problems.
I am learning a lot about gardening in my new climate and am implementing some really neat systems. I will share my success's and failures along the way!
Currently I blog about Food issues and ideas:
