Having an aptitude for math, physics and environmental studies, I pursued a bachelors degree at Saint Francis Xavier University in environmental engineering after graduating high school. After realizing that the "environmental" aspect of engineering was full of contradiction and disregard for the current global issues we are faced with, I decided to complete my diploma after year two and pursue more fulfilling endeavours.
Since leaving school, I have been obsessed with natural building and off grid living, with particular emphasis on Mike Reynolds' Earthship concept, and I will be attending an internship in New Mexico come November. It was after extensive research and study in these ideas that I stumbled upon permaculture, giving me hope and inspiration through natural systems-based problem solving.
I have just completed my PDC under the study of Graham Calder, who completely revolutionized my life. Through the lens of permaculture I want to inspire others and extend the furthest reach of my creativity to provide abundance and show that together we can change the world.
