Worked in engineering, marketing and sales for the computer industry for 15 years. Business Manager to 2 fortune 500 companies, designing and writing business, channel and marketing plans on new product releases.

I became interested in Permaculture around 2003 whilst travelling through South East Asia and then South America. It seemed to provide solutions to a lot of the globalisation and resource scarcity problems I had observed.

I run ecocultura, a sustainability consulting business that provides education and support to local businesses and communities in Porto Alegre in southern Brazil. We are developing a Permaculture demonstration site with examples of herb spirals, banana circles to composting systems, swales, hugulculture, gabions and even a chicken tractor (complete with solar panel powered electric fence). We plan to expand our education content and run more courses in English and Portuguese.
