Our tiny homestead is in a remote Alaskan town, backed by wild mountains. We grow chickens, ducks, veggies and berries, and make good use of wild foods as well.
Although I have been doing all the parts of it for more than 15 years, I just discovered permaculture last year. It was love at first sight and I spent the winter reading The Manual, listening to online lectures, and creating a design for our property as a 'practicum.'
