What's good? I'm 22, living part-time at a summer camp that I'll be involved with for the rest of my life. I graduated from the University of Vermont in 2013 with degrees in International Business and Spanish. I run in the woods a good amount and like bicycles. I'm also a modern-pentathlete (running, swimming, horseback riding, and pistol shooting).

A few years back, I started planting black walnuts on my property. A desire to "food-scape" everything lead to being bitten by the permaculture bug. In college, I lived in an eco-village dorm with a greenhouse and garden. Outside of my formal studies, I read permaculture books. I have yet to take a formal PDC course, but I'm really into teaching myself good things. I'll take one eventually, but the background I'll get from reading should be a great foundation.

Right now at the summer camp, I have a mobile chicken-coop and a fence that I set up to chicken-till lots of soil. We have annual gardens, and the beginnings of an orchard/food forest. On a south-facing rock ledge, I'm taking advantage of a micro-climate to grow less cold-hardy plants such as figs (we're in zone 5, but those rocks HEAT up). I have a large food forest planned.
