My family and I own an 88 acre farm in the Willamette Valley of Oregon. We raise grass-fed beef, sheep and heritage pigs. I'm an herbalist and have taught classes for 20 years on the farm. I work daytime job at a local nonprofit.
I first became interested in Permaculture about 20 years ago and had to postpone taking a design course until certain family obligations were met. Now that I have the time my daughter and I are taking Geoff Lawton's Design Course with a teacher licensed by the institute in Salem, Oregon.
As soon as we get our certificates this spring we look forward to starting a Permaculture Center on our farm so will be looking for teachers and others to join us. Looking at the job description it seems working as the administrator is the right place for me.
We have experience with hosting events and having folks living on our farm. Ours is the farm where www.thepoosh.org got its start.
