My trip to Ananda Gradinka to tweak elements of the survey I carried out in October perfectly coincided with the arrival of the first proper snow of this winter.
I may be a lightweight, but I didn't feel up to digging through knee deep snow to get soil samples. Or tramping the land with my dowsing rods looking for water.
I did at least manage to re-do my boundary measurements - something went very wrong with either my footsteps or my note taking in October, and I ended up with a completely different shaped plot on paper. Despite the conditions, I think I have it right this time.
So back to the UK next week and back to the drawing board :-)
