2 Weeks PERMACULTURE Workshop in Maha Sarakham
//Strawbale Building
//Livestock Management
//Traditional Silk Weaving Preservation
We are very proud to announce that the Thai-Farm and Sangob are going to collaborate on a very diverse permaculture project and workshop on the planed dates of 18th to the 31st of march. This date will be confirmed in 24 hours. We hope this project will be the first of many which will be held in focusing on strawbale building for the learning center at Thai-Farm in Maha Sarakham. The new building is to accommodate some of the students, It will be held concurrently with a detailed and hands on talk on livestock genetics and management including goats, chickens, ducks, turkeys and quail farming. As a bonus we will also take a few trips a look at traditional silk weaving preservation and a visit to a Monk Friend of Andy’s who runs a spiritual center in the middle of a forest. This will blow your mind when you see what one man can create with true vision. I would also like to take everyone to our local cattle market where hundreds of animals exchange hands every week. This is a real insight into true Thai culture.
Thai Farm is set in a very tranquil part of the north east of Thailand. A place where very few tourists have even heard about let alone visited. The Visitors centre is set on a huge lake that is simply breath taking. It is in some parts almost like a beach resort hence its Thai nick name Pattaya Beach. Lots of Coconut trees line the shore and very cheap food can be found everywhere you can work on the fact most meals are about one euro or forty Thai baht.
We have limited this event to just 20 places, on a first come first served on placement of a 5,000 Thai baht non refundable deposit
We encourage all of you who might be interested in this outstanding project to check both websites for further information on the schedule and program and to pass the word around the permaculture community.

Note: The various badges displayed in people profiles are largely honesty-based self-proclamations by the individuals themselves. There are reporting functions users can use if they know of blatant misrepresentation (for both people and projects). Legitimacy, competency and reputation for all people and projects can be evidenced and/or developed through their providing regular updates on permaculture work they’re involved in, before/after photographs, etc. A spirit of objective nurturing of both people and projects through knowledge/encouragement/inspiration/resource sharing is the aim of the Worldwide Permaculture Network.

|
PRI TeacherWith the exception of the ‘Member’ who has never taken a PDC, all of the above can apply to become a PRI PDC Teacher. PRI PDC Teachers are those who the PRI recognise, through a vetting board, as determined and competent to teach the full 72-hour course as developed by Permaculture founder Bill Mollison – covering all the topics of The Designers’ Manual as well as possible (i.e. not cherry picking only aspects the teacher feels most interested or competent in). Such teachers also commit to focussing on the design science, and not including subjective spiritual/metaphysical elements. The reason these items are not included in the PDC curriculum is because they are “belief” based. Permaculture Design education concerns itself with teaching good design based on strategies and techniques which are scientifically provable. PRI PDC Teachers may be given teaching and/or consultancy offerings as they become available as the network grows. |
