I began my permaculture journey at Quail Springs Permaculture Oasis in October of 2012. I am truly grateful for my educators such as Warren Brush, and Alex Vincent. They have left me inspired and motivated to reach out and grow through assisting others create a sustainable livelihood for themselves and their communities. Immediately I began teaching introduction courses at local libraries. Doing all that I could to effectively spread the wealth of knowledge permaculture embodies.
To gain more knowledge, and experience with design I traveled the world applying permaculture from Asia, Europe, Australia, Fiji, and the US. Volunteering and working in these places has been a wonderful experience. Assisting others in their efforts to become sovereign, and together have learned the fantastic power of permaculture and its ability to produce environmental, social, and economic resiliency.
Most currently I am focusing on the development of an educational/demonstration site in Waibau, Fiji. The biggest goals for the Vutikalulu Centre is to not only demonstrate sustainable living, but to also preserve and promote indigenous culture, and living.
Possibly the easiest, fastest, and most efficient method for producing biochar
Biochar was inspired by the discovery of black earth in the Amazonian soils. Today we've singled out biochar for its benefit. In this post I answer the question.. "Is biochar worth it?"
Built an herb spiral today, it was a great learning experience for two of GROL gardens new volunteers!
First steps to create a sustainable community.
