Our hosts were Gastwerke community (twenty people plus children trying to live in a non-capitalistic way) and volunteers from German Summer Academy, who managed to create a beautiful place in heart of nature, with a few large tents for the programmes, mobile kitchen, compost toilets, showers, a bar with sand beach, a Wise Woods place for meeting in the forest, and simply a creative and comfortable place for spending your time. I was fascinated by speeches of Declan and Margrit Kennedy, Robyn Francis, or John Croft (Dragon Dreaming), but there were many many others, with topics how to learn sustainability from the Third World, workshops of deep ecology, skything, working with horses and many others.
