(projects i'm following)
Caring to the environment since a long time, I started by a vocational high school diploma in Agronomy and Environmental Sciences and Technologies (STAE) in a school for agricultural sciences. At that time (2005), I did two month of internship in a landscape enterprise.
Then I have completed a two years technical degree in landscape design and installations including four more months of internship in different landscape architecture enterprises (2007).
Thus, with six months of professional experiences in landscaping, I have developed a strong critical opinion about the current methods used for creation of gardens including among others, chemical weeding, laid bare soil and mechanic break in of the ground. I was attracted by a more natural approach with methods such as composting and implantation of diversified and adapted species.
Finally, I went in for a more holistic vision of planning.
In 2008, I have completed a permaculture design course (PDC) in France with Steve Read.
The following year, I have helped for the organisation and the sequence of two PDC (To the eco-community called La Sorga and to Sambourg) and for the first french-speaking festival of permaculture. Also, I've had the chance, in July 2009, to attend to a consensus decision-making course teach by Jack Reed and Emilie Galan.
In October 2009, I started an 8 month journey in New-Zealand to study permaculture and learn English language. This experience has been extremely positive and motivating. I did a lot of wwoofing in several permaculture places including Mara Whenua, Otamatea ecovillage, Vedict Academy produce, Magaret Peace's property, Taranaki environment center and Rainbow Valley Farm.
Back in France in 2010, I was involved in the French permaculture association “Brin de Paille” as a member of board. During our meetings, we used tools such as consensus, open forum and round-tables.
During summer 2011, I have taught two permaculture introduction courses. It was really great and people asked me when I will do some others.
Plus, I am currently studying in Baccalaureate of sciences in geography, planning and management of rural areas at the University of Lyon 3 and I'm preparing my permaculture diploma.
I am particularly interested about food production and management of organic resources.
