I have some experieince with permaculture. I was a landscaper on Whidbey Island in Washington state and installed some native and edibe gardens for a few clients. I have studied small space gardening and began writing a book on gardening in the Northwest which I have not completed. I live in the mountains of Western North Carolina part time and in Washington DC part time where clients of mine need to be encouraged to adopt small space gardening as most of their yards are 18 feet by 24 feet. There are indeed many groups in DC promoting small space gardening and I enjoy visiting some of these gardens.
