We have finaly managed to find a piece of land. 8.5 Acers of forest and Lyng. Situated in the middle of a nature reserve. That means no Pesticides, no big farming factories and no monoculture fields. Better yet the property is located on the island of Bornholm - one of the most beautifull places in Denmark. With it's very special ecosystems, rockformations and completely free from highways, the land itself is everything a permaculturist could ever wish for. We are very grateful for this opportunity and are looking forward to start planning, planting and building natural buildings.
Preparing the soil for the forest garden. using what ever we had at hand. Tarps, hay, carboard, pine for the sourbed and a rug.
With cherries and plum already present the plant list will include: Apples, lime, peascrub, sage, sweet cicerly, artichokes, comfrey, good king henry, fennel, borage, brassica, rhubars, black and red currant, raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, lovage, wild carrot, turkish rocket, chicory, ramsons, ferns, clover, plantain, oregano and mint
