Worked on several projects while in East Africa. Kenya has just established the Kenya Permaculture Research Institute. They are able to accept grant money now to develop demonstration sites throughout Kenya.

In Tanzania, the Global Resource Alliance established a 1.5 acre permaculture demonstration site along lake Victoria. And they were also just given another 9 acres to design to help the local community with food security. A new design was just completed for the 9 acre site and is currently being implemented. When I was there we were just laying out the swales and fencing the area off from the local cows and goats with a living fence design.
