Tickets for this year's Convergence happening at Camp Hess Kramer in Malibu are selling fast!!
During the convergence, we will recreate a village of people who believe in transforming our Mother Earth. This village will be made up of people both young and old, from all different backgrounds. Each one of us will bring our unique gifts to share with the other people in our village.
There will be hands-on workshops, lectures, group sessions, nature walks & beach treks, kids corner and delicious meals.
Mission:
Our Mission for the 2011 So Cal Permaculture Convergence is to reconnect our local network by sharing resources and to define the structure, function, and organization of the group as we move forward into the future. We intend to create a village-like atmosphere that is a well-balanced experience of interactive presentation, roundtable discussion, and skill sharing mixed with healthy local food, music, and ample social time.
These gatherings are made by the participants (YOU!). We are asking everyone to get involved as best they can (presenter, speaker, outreach and spreading the word). Consider leading a session or volunteering.
When:
April 29th - May 1st, 2011 Arrival time begins at 4pm on Friday April 29th and continuing through Sunday early afternoon.
Where:
At Camp Hess Kramer at the Ventura/LA County line along the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, CA. Get the Map/Directions.
Who:
We welcome all interested people with open arms. Permaculture has much to offer in these challenging times and anyone who would like to learn about this approach and set of skills and strategies is strongly encouraged to join the Convergence.
However, the Convergence is also a place for active or practicing permaculturists in the region (teachers, designers, organizers, etc.) to gather, socialize and get energized from the work we are all doing. Special sessions and dedicated areas will facilitate our connection and collaboration.
Cost:
We are working hard to make this convergence as affordable as possible. Early Bird prices for tickets will range from $125 for camping, $150 for shared bunkhouses, and $200 for Private rooms. After April 8, all prices go up $30. Apart from the amazing of array of sessions and activities that come with your ticket, the price also includes delicious meals suitable for vegetarians and vegans prepared for us by the staff of Camp Hess Kramer.
If the price still seems too steep, we have plenty of work trade options available. You can join the planning team, help with setup a few days before, or any other creative ways that you would like to propose. Check out our options for volunteers.
Unfortunately, after April 15th we cannot offer refunds.
