After my Military career i returned to my home town in Washington state USA. I studied Interior design attempting to bring the natural world indoors and draw the people inside out into the forest! although i never completed design school i always have had the creative eye of a designer. Two friends introduced me to "The survival podcast" with Jack Spirko. Working as a heavy equipment operator i had much time to listen to Jacks lessons on earthwork and food forestry. I have absorbed his interviews with Geoff Lawton, Paul Wheaton, and many other permaculturalists. I have made friends with some local farmers and land owners and am excited to start my first farm endeavors this spring. I am now reading as much as i can, meeting with any and all permies, and have signed up for the permaculture voices conference to expand my understanding of where to go from here!
