Hi, I'm Jen Mendez - wife, mother, permaculture enthusiast, professionally trained, successful educator gone rogue, and founder of PERMIE KIDs. I believe that just as we can map out and design our landscape, we can apply this same methodology to map and design our learning landscapes. Better yet, we can help our children learn how to map, design, and navigate their own learning landscape.

To this end, I fuse my passion for educating and my enthusiasm for permaculture to help other parents, educators, and children design a holistic, passion-driven, and project-based education using a permaculture framework. Children's passions are integrated playfully and naturally into a holistic education... think ethical, patterned-based STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) to the "nth" degree with the n standing for nature - nature of self, community, and the earth.
