(projects i'm following)
I am a techie, a freelance web programmer, an entrepreneur and most of all, a permaculture evangelist.
I was into survival skills and accidentally stumbled onto permaculture, been hooked ever since.
So far, I have given lectures in Estonia and Finland. I am available for consultations and lectures. Contact me at: [email protected]
I manage the estonian permaculture website:
http://permakultuur.ee
http://permaculture.ee
I am converting my old summer house into a farm and that into a permaculture example farm, which will hopefully eventually become the Northern Estonian Permaculture Institute.
The farm has estonian native sheep, chickens and a Maremma Abruzzese livestock guardian dog (LGD).
I am in the middle of designing/planting a food forest on a 2 hectare plot.
The farm is a high-tech permaculture farm. Every high-tech system has or will have a low-tech fallback in case of failures. I manage my animals using an information system I developed myself. Every sheep and chicken has a serial number :D
I use an ATV instead of a big tractor, I use chicken trailers, Sheep shade-trailers. I also have a mini excavator on the farm to make ponds, swales and everything else the farm needs.
talked about permaculture and my farm at Tallinn University
I talked briefly about energy willow Salix viminalis, permaculture and my farm on national radio
I gave a 1.5 hour lecture about the essence of food forests and how to establish them
CANCELED (no attendees): planned on building a Chicken Caravan (r) style chicken trailer
I hosted a workshop to plant out a 400m2 area with Salix Viminalis
gave a short introductory lecture to permaculture in Tartu, Estonia
Gave a lecture about designing permaculture food forests in Estonia, Finland and similar climates in english.
Gave a lecture about designing permaculture food forests in Estonia and similar climates in estonian.
