I am a registered nurse by profession with nearly 40 years of experience, I have always been interested in health, nutrition and gardening.
I took my PDC online with Geoff Lawton in 2013. Since then I have designed a 10 year old permaculture demonstration garden where I have run several Permaculture in Action workshops over the last couple of years. I have also branched out in to food fermentation and resilient living. I have ran several one day permaculture and resiliency workshops for my local council as well as my own skill based workshops, for example kombucha, milk kefir, lacto-fermentation and sourdough.
In my work organisation we used permaculture principles to develop a group of principles and ethics to help us to design our models of care, we call it Village Connect. We apply these ethics and principles across whole of business, for example education, HR, project management and of course, how we deliver healthcare across our rural communities.
