(projects i'm involved in)
The fascination for growing my own food dates back to my background in Political Science. During the writing of my Bachelor's thesis on civilian food production I catapulted myself into the magical world of Permaculture. This led me to do an internship with a Dutch organization that focused on creating community gardens in Amsterdam, and in 2013 I finished an annual Permaculture Design Course. Since then I have been very active, trying to fill everyone's life with as much edible green as possible. Paradise is, after all, a big edible garden!
Nowadays I work fulltime with my company Boerenverstand (Common Sense) to design, implement and advise about edible urban gardens, and I teach courses and workshops about it. Some related topics I teach about are: eating from the wild, alternative pest control, plant combinations, balconygardening, making nettle rope and climate change.
