My background is Organic and sustainable agriculture, political consulting, and teaching. I grew up in the San Joaquin Valley of California and spent most of my early years working on the many family and corporate farms that makes up California's agriculture industry. I receive degrees from California State University Stanislaus, Merced College, and Utah State University.
I learned about Permaculture from Bill Mollison at several of his introductory permaculture classes in California in the late 80's and early 90's. I have practices permaculture principles in my agricultural endeavors for many years but I had never taken the PDC. I am now enrolled with Geoff Lawton's online design course.
I have bee working for the past year with Paul Wheaton at his Lab in Montana and now am building two permaculture sites in Logan Utah. (an urban site on 1/4 acre) and Crestone, Colorado (a seven acre site in South Central Colorado).
