I have been many things so far in my short life: a logger, road builder, fire fighter, student, pizza chef and now husband and Permaculture Designer!
I was introduced to Permaculture while working for an Energy Efficient Housing Research and Development Company in 2008 via a mechanical engineer Rob Avis (now Verge Permaculture). I took an Introduction to Permaculture course in Calgary, AB, Canada in 2009 and I was "terminal". I travelled to Costa Rica, New Zealand and Australia in 2009-2010 to learn more about sustainable living and take my PDC with my partner Jana at the Permaculture Research Institute Australia with Geoff Lawton in April 2010.
Since then we have started an Ecological Design company Element Eco-Design, in the beautiful Okanagan Valley of British Columbia, Canada. We design edible landscapes and teach Permaculture principles to anyone interested. We are growing quit quickly and I would like to use my Earthworks experience to offer Canada's first Earthworks for Permaculture course next year so keep your fingers crossed!
