I am a photographer, a master gardener, a wine specialist and since last August 2014, I became a certified permaculture designer.
I live in New Jersey, United States and have managed to create a permaculture garden and establish a CSA among neighbors. From May through November my garden feeds 6 to 8 families with salad greens, peppers, tomatoes, garlic, potatoes, herbs, eggplants, leeks, celery and mushrooms.
Born in Brazil and fluent in portuguese, I was invited to develop some permaculture projects in Minas Gerais state, where I was born and raised.
I dream of all people around the globe understanding and having a much greater appreciation of real food. I dream of shantytowns in Rio de Janeiro producing gourmet shiitake mushrooms, people in the United States replacing their lawns with organic gardens and inmates in prisons all over the world working in gardens and cultivating their own food. In all cases, nature and love and respect for food will improve everybody’s lives.
