Jorge is an agronomist with a background in Agroecology working with small farmers in Chile and Bolivia. His specialisation is soil management and broadacre cultivation.

Since 2008 Jorge has been working in the production of organic food on the family farm in BioBio Chile focused on first food security for his family and community, and secondly for sale of healthy safe and fair trade food.

Jorge has been a key leader in the development of the first official transition town in latin america in El Manzano, developing various projects to improve the quality of life for the community and develop local resilience.
