Since I was very young at the age of 5, I used to go to my mother's job and get some of the ideas that where part of the ecologic avant-garde back then in the Chile under dictatorship. She was a graphic designer at the NGO called CETAL, a research center for social appropriate technologies for Latin America. I used to participate from time to time in seminars for children and other initiatives that were aimed to give tools to people in neighborhoods with limited resources.
After some year being apart of this activities, I decided to go to a seminar called "Permaculture and Sustainable Life" in 2007 where I had the opportunity to learn about permaculture for the first time in my life from David Holmgren, Griffen Hope and also from Mandfred Max-Neef. After this, I decided to continue my art studies by applying to a Masters degree in the Politechnic University of Valencia, in Spain, where I dedicate my studies to subjects such as public art and artistic interventions in landscape. Finally, I made my final research about the relationship between art, permaculture and activism, either in cities and rural places. Having this in mind, my friends and I, decided to travel around Spain, searching for abandoned and occupied towns, been ecological or not. With that experience I gather a lot of information, contacts and a more accurate image of what people was doing with concrete activities so I could choose where I would like to join or participate.
In order to start a new personal approach to sustainable practices, I decided to take the PDC at Ecoescuela El Manzano, in Bío Bío, Chile, which was a wonderful experience with a lot of information that needs to be put in practice with my hands and the one of the people that I want to work with.
About the information that I have gathered until now and the one that I will gather in the future in a PHD, you can ask whatever you want by writing me here.
I hope to be useful wherever I will be, but for now people that are in Greece or Spain, and are developing projects with the subjects that I explained before, please contact me.
