I am a tea, spice and rubber trader by profession and have spent the last 22 years in the business. I am also the co-founder of Kulu Safaris, Sri Lanka's pioneering safari company.

I have recently purchased an organic farm in the Central Highlands on the island of Sri Lanka (Ceylon) and am putting into practice many Permaculture methods and principles on farm. The farm is called Avaagama, this is an ancient Sanskrit word that means "knowledge". The farm is 9 acres and is at an elevation of 4,000 feet above sea level.

At Avaagama, we practice Bio-Dynamic, Organic and Permaculture principles.
