Since 2015 I have volunteered at the Mindfulness Project in Thailand, an intentional community teaching holistic sustainable living practices, using permaculture and mindfulness as its basis.
During this time I have been involved in many projects including the construction of an adobe house for our Thai neighbours, setting up a food forest and planting over 200 fruit trees on our farm, setting up irrigation systems for the gardens and separation compost toilets and setting up our 400sq metre vegetable garden.
Before my life in Permaculture I studied environmental biology in Queensland, Australia and from 2012 to 2015 I worked at James Cook University, in the centre for macroalgal resources and biotechnology. Researching the use of algae to clean up waste water streams, sequester atmospheric carbon and as a potential source for bio-fuel production and health supplementation.
