Born in the Azores, I've lived most of my life in Ontario, Canada. I have an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in psychology and an MBA in Information Systems. I have had a life-long interest in nature and, since my late teens, especially plants. Worked in software for over a decade, now trying to find a more Earth-connected way of life.
First learned of permaculture in the early 2000's and took the designer course and practicum in 2007 & 2008, taught by Gregoire Lamoureux in Ontario. But in fact I had been thinking about these kinds of ways of living in greater harmony with the forces of nature for many years.
Currently I own a 10 Ha piece of former farmland near the shores of eastern Lake Ontario. It's semi-forested, semi-open and much of it is "bush". I hope to turn it into a semi-wild permaculture site. My family also owns a parcels of land, amounting to a few acres in the Azores, which I hope to also work on more as permaculture sites.
