My profession has never been involved in gardening, landscape, or Earth sciences. I have, however, been passionate about preserving nature and living a healthy lifestyle. I have done "traditional" gardening for many years.

When I became exposed to the principles of permaculture, they resonated with me and I wanted to learn more. That is why I decided to take Geoff Lawton's PDC. I had watched many of his videos and knew that I wanted to learn from him. So glad I did. My design for the course was my own property because I was there everyday to observe and connect with the land.

My goal is to put what I have learned and designed into reality on my property. I don't know if I will be designing for others because I feel there is so much more for me to learn about my own area. I think I will consult eventually, but for now I am focusing on my own design to grow and flourish, and to learn as much as I can about the challenges and blessings of the Cold Temperate climate where I live.

Would like to connect with others in my area (or not in my area) that are interested in permaculture also. We all can help each other, right?
