Kate Heiber-Cobb, Permaculture Designer, founded the Madison Area Permaculture Guild in the Spring of 2008. Through her business, Sustainability on Stilts, LLC, she educates and consults on Permaculture. A leader in the growing movement to establish Permaculture principles as a foundation for urban landscapes, Kate serves on the Advisory Board for the Sustainability Leadership Graduate Program at Edgewood College, serves with the founding group of Madison Fruits and Nuts, is the Co-Leader of the Water Issues Team of Town & Country RC&D, and is a past board member of The Natural Step Monona, and has training in Transition Towns and Radical Urban Sustainability. She also was recently honored as a Badger Bioneer for her innovative work in the community around sustainability.
