I studied Sociology, Geology, Mandarin, and Spanish as a university student, and then permaculture design and water harvesting during 2010 and 2011 in Phoenix, AZ. Previously I was a K-8 Math and English teacher for 6 years. I grew up in upstate New York, spent 5 years studying and teaching in Japan, China, and Korea, 3 years teaching in New York City, and over 2 years in Arizona.
I grew up in an gardening family. We've always composted, grown fruits and vegetables, and lived at the forest's edge. When I was 15 I discovered the peace/Green movement. I discovered permaculture late in 2009 and immediately enrolled in a Spring 2010 certification program.
We're gradually greening the family home in upstate New York. I love to get involved with nonprofit projects and sharing my experience with others. Don't hesitate to ask for help. I'll do my best. Peace!
