I was lucky enough to have completed my PDC course at Lost Valley Education Center this past summer, an experience which changed my life. I am interested in learning how applications of permaculture can help impoverished communities realize food sovereignty. With this, I have extreme interest in natural building and ways to combat desertification, in addition to alternative energy mechanisms.
I study Latin American/Caribbean Studies and Spanish at Rollins College, but am currently abroad in Brazil. I have studied microfinance and social business with the Sullivan Foundation as well as human rights with Burmese refugees in Burma, and am a member of the Clinton Global Initiative University.
I am nearly fluent in Spanish and working on my Portuguese!
