Grew up rural, did biology/ecology/plant science followed by sustainable agriculture at uni, and then a few years later a PDC, having heard about permaculture via the masters. Couldn't find much opportunity for practicing it in the broad scale at the time though - or interest from the movement in integrating it at uncomfortable edges such as in addressing structural inequality within our own society, so I worked within complementary areas in publishing, community action, etc.
More recently (Spring 2012) I was introduced to RegenAg and since then have steadily taken over more responsibility for the UK network; now my main occupation is supporting those already attempting to implement broad scale permaculture via regenerative agriculture within the UK, and introducing it to others with courses and other RegenAg UK events/material (www.regenag.co.uk).
