(projects i'm involved in)
I discovered permaculture by stumbling upon some of Geoff Lawton's videos and knew I had to find out more about this design science. A friend of mine, now business partner, informed me that there was to be a PDC in 2015 which I attended and my life was changed forever. Permaculture appeals to me as it's a set of principles which inform the design, unlike architecture which I had studied - I never really grasped the design approach and wasn't drawn to the conventional construction materials and approach.
Since my PDC I have completed small residential projects, been involved with community through Food & Trees for Africa and now am co-director of Sustainable Abundance Permaculture (SA Permaculture) in South Africa - a registered design, installation and consultancy company. We are available for projects ranging from residential foodscapes, sustainable farm design, land regeneration, training and consults.
Permaculture designer since Oct 2015.
