Nick Huggins has over 15 years experience in Horticulture, Landscape design, construction & maintenance. Undertaking projects in eastern Australia and south east Asia, from high end residential to medium sized commercial development projects up to $1m & now many years in the Business of Permaculture Design, Regenerative Farm Land Planning.

Running a multi stream business, the coordination of staff, projects and budgets has given Nick the experience and management skills needed to build profitable and sustainable business & Farms.
Studying Permaculture Design with (PRI) Permaculture Research Institute of Australia director Geoff & Nadia Lawton. With the vision for a more for filling career and life in earth care and lifestyle transition.
After the completion of an Internship at the P.R.I, Nick stepped in to his first Permaculture projects.
Since then Nick has been involved in more Rural - Broad-acre land repair projects and getting involved with detailed comprehensive designs based on Equine Permaculture and Regenerative farming, Holistic Management - Graze & Financial Planning for Profitable farms.
Working with companies such as Global Land Repair in Canberra, Permaculture Sustainable Consulting, Mulloon Farm Pty Ltd, Twynam Agriculture NSW, Mariette van den Berg from MB Equine Services in the NSW Southern Tablelands just to name a few!
Nick’s primary focus and drive in Permaculture is to guide and mentor fellow Permaculture consultants into building businesses inline with the ethics and principals set out by Bill Mollison & David Holmgren.

With in this course will be many variations from learning to design, running your own design and consultancy business, project management, costing and estimation of projects for construction.
The Aim of the Program:
We are committed to training creative, confident and professionally superior PERMACULTURE Designers. On completion of your studies you will be entitled to design with in the permaculture field. Fully competent to undertake the following tasks:
Creating sustainable Permaculture designs.
Designing concepts and plans for Urban, Rural and aid project with water, access, structures.
Producing Concept Plans, Planting Plans, and site maintenance schedules.
Preparation of concept drawings for land re-contouring and retaining
Preparation of construction and working drawings for hard landscaping items (not requiring specialist engineering and when permitted by law)
Managing the contractor bidding and the installation of the design on behalf of the Client
Running a professional Permaculture design business.
You will learn all the aspects of running your own business in a professional manner. This includes dealing with clients, effective communication, getting new business, industry protocols, working to a client's budget, bidding and tendering, and writing technical specifications.
